AI GUIDE FOR THE LOGISTICS AND FREIGHT TRANSPORT SECTOR – 2026
Artificial intelligence is now establishing itself as a driving force for transformation in transport and logistics. From optimising flows to automating operations, via better demand forecasting, its applications are numerous and already in use. However, its adoption remains gradual within the sector, often held back by challenges relating to implementation, skills or data governance.
At the AI Cargo Foundation, we are convinced that AI is a key lever for accelerating the sector’s energy and environmental transition. Used effectively, it enables the reconciliation of operational performance with a reduced carbon footprint. But to reap its full benefits, it is essential to support stakeholders with practical tools and feedback.
It is with this in mind that we have contributed, alongside France Logistique and the Direction Générale des Entreprises, to the drafting of the sector’s AI guide. This document has been designed to help decision-makers better understand the challenges, identify relevant use cases and take practical action.
